Your 2024 Resources For a Great Year
I’ve got a lot of free stuff FOR YOU. It may not always be free so take advantage of it SOON!
What do you hope for this New Year? Do you allow yourself to hope or dream a little? It might be difficult to do in light of all that’s going on in the world. Survival mode has become the new norm for many. But what I’m seeing and sensing from this, is people are beginning to be more intentional with their energy, who they have in their lives, and how they spend their time.
Being winter where I’m at, I’ve been (very intentionally) in hibernation mode. Relax, rest, take things slower, coziness, and contentment, all rule my world right now. While everyone is typically ready to hit the ground running January 1st, many of us are choosing to honor the slower winter season.
This is a great time for reflection! And I’ve got a lot of journaling resources for you to do exactly that, including my NEW 24-page journal (plus Habit Tracker sheet) called, New Start. It’s designed for any new beginning or fresh start. It doesn’t have to be a New Year. It can be a companion for a new journey in life, a new habit, or making changes. I create these journals because journaling was the single most helpful tool on my self-healing journey. It can have massive positive effects for you too!
If you haven’t downloaded my other free journals, they’ll be great tools for reflection as well:
And speaking of slowing down and reflecting, my most popular meditation in 2023 on my YouTube Channel, Therapy Meditations, was Stop People Pleasing. If this subject pertains to you, I highly suggest giving it a listen.
If you need a New Year boost, positive affirmations may do the trick! I also have a free BIG List of Affirmations, broken down into multiple categories, like health and abundance. I like to record affirmations monthly, pertaining to my areas of focus. I record them on a voice app on my phone and try to listen to them nightly, when the mind is most open to reprogramming.
What I’m into:
I’ve really enjoyed the Being Well podcast. Led by Neuropsychologist, Dr. Rick Hanson and his son, Forrest Hanson. Also, mindfulness experts, they discuss topics ranging from parts therapy to trauma, and behavior change.
Another person I follow is Cory Muscara on Instagram. In 2023 he introduced his new app, Practicing Human, full of insight, courses, and meditations. His work has been paramount in my meditation and self-improvement journey.
I read a lot of good books last year. Regarding self-improvement, Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents by Lindsey Gibson, was great. If you have emotional and psychological traumas from childhood or suspect your parents were very selfish and didn’t prioritize their parenting duties, you’ll want to read this great resource. If you’re introverted and highly sensitive (HSP), I also enjoyed, Sensitive by Jenn Granneman.
I sincerely hope you have a wonderful and inspiring 2024.
