The Gift of Self Acceptance
Before you set out on a self improvement journey, it is crucial (not counterintuitive) to accept yourself as you are. It does not mean you can’t grow and improve upon yourself, but you will not celebrate those improvements and meaningful lessons if you can’t see all that you are right now! You are a gift, all of you, not just the good parts but all the parts.
“The worst loneliness is to not be comfortable with yourself.” Mark Twain
This script will fit you if:
You can promptly identify all that you believe is bad about yourself.
Your self-worth depends on what others think about you.
You feel like someone who doesn’t matter at times.
You think you should change to meet others’ expectations.
You tend to ignore your good qualities.
