2 Free Guided Meditations: A Growth Mindset and a Great Morning
CategoriesUncategorized
Interviews remind me of high school with the same two questions running through my head, “Do they like me?” And “Will I fit in?”
However, I aced every interview- if I scored an interview, I got the job 100% of the time. There was no reason for insecurity. I was repeating a thought pattern that was old news; a thought pattern that was fear and worry mixed with scarcity from my distant past. This totally wasn’t a growth or success mindset, and it held me back from greater possibilities even though I got considerably far with it.
…until the very last interview (before beginning my freelancing venture and moving onto entrepreneurship).
My last interview did not result in a job. Instead, I had an epiphany! It took finally being rejected to buck my old patterns. Old patterns can serve you well for a while, but “growth” is the keyword here. You simply don’t grow or get better with old patterns. From that epiphany I realized I didn’t want the job I was interviewing for!!! I finally asked myself what it was that I actually wanted.
And that’s a growth mindset!
Most people would look at being rejected as a bad thing- maybe even the opposite of growth. However, growth comes from mistakes, disappointment, rejection, even failure. It’s what you do with those things that determines whether you have a growth mindset or not.
Did I stew over how I got rejected and broke my streak of 100% interview success rate? No. Did I torment myself further about not being liked? No. Did I fall back on old thought patterns? No.
A growth mindset is seeing opportunity and learnings everywhere- positive or negative!
A success mindset involves defining your personal definition of success- keeping that vision in mind while taking action on the values it represents for you.

I promise I do not use the word “hustle”, because there is no hustling in meditation.
Many people will find that meditation liberates you from constant pressure, ability to see your life with greater clarity, and take wiser, more aware action to move forward or change what needs to be changed.
Bonus: We all need a positive and fresh start to our mornings. I’ve come to appreciate just how important it is to start the day on a good note- your mornings matter!
The following meditation is a wonderful way to begin the day and supplement your growth mindset meditation.
